Complex systems to clear experiences.

I design for the moment a complex system meets a person: a member reporting fraud, a consultant turning scan data into findings, a radiologist documenting a finding. I run the research, design the flows, build the prototypes and write front-end code, and I stay with the work through release.

Work where clarity had to survive constraint.

Regulated finance, enterprise security, clinical software and two products I founded. Each case shows the user problem, the constraints, the decisions and what changed.

Four clear entry paths, front-loaded instructions and status tracking for transaction disputes. In a two-version decision-screen test, 86% of members chose the correct path, and dispute-related calls fell 35% year over year.

I kept the 40-status data model and rebuilt the journey around three roles, each seeing only its own step, then built the AngularJS front end myself.

87 designed states, most of them failure paths, and two themes, Paper and Night, on one token set. I specified every screen and built the product.

How I design

The screen is the last step.
The workflow is the design.

The same four modes run through every project here, and I work in all of them myself, from the first interview to the front-end code.

Research
Interviews, journey maps and usability tests that show where people work around the system.

Interaction design
Flows, states and plain-language copy, including the failure paths, with targets and legibility set for where the product is used.

Prototyping
Low-fidelity concepts tested early, then interactive prototypes validated before build.

Implementation
Front-end code and design system components, so what ships matches what was tested.

Where I fit

The title can vary. The craft should not.

I am strongest where a product carries real constraints: regulation, clinical risk, shared devices, legacy data. That is where design decisions carry the most weight.
